My best meal in Venice. We had the raw fish antipasto and the black tanglioni with scallops and artichoke. Absolutely delicious! It's a small, family run restaurant and we chatted to the owners son who was so friendly and recommended some very good wine! Great atmosphere, great service, great food. We will definitely be coming back here again.
Very nice and cozy place in a very quiet area of Cannaregio sestiere, specifically at Campiello Widman. The place ha a very nice atmosphere and also the patio outside is very nice. Food is good but not memorable for sure. I had pasta with scallops and ginger and scallops were barely there. I tried a mixed fry fish and it was good but definitely too expensive considering the quality and the same things other more refined restaurants. Anyway nice and relaxing experience with a very welcoming and caring staff.
Amazing start, with a very well served row fish and seafood (orata, branzino, tonno, scampi, cicale di mare e tartare di tonno) and an amazing end, with panna cotta with rosmarino and salt. A bit disappointed by the good( but not super) main courses, gnocchi with spider fish (was suggested by a friend, but I guess it was served with too little crab to be tasty) and seafood dumplings (unfortunately the tomato sauce was covering the taste of dumplings). Guess the menu has other better choices to taste of the fresh fish, but I need to go back to try. Staff is caring. Place is small, so recommended to book in advance if more than 2 people.
We had lunch. We were very welcome by the waiters and quickly sit. We had two dishes:
Ravioli Di Mare and the Gnocchi. Ravioli had 4 pieces, 2 of white fish and 2 of shrimp, very well done. Gnocchi was with crab, very soft and melting inside the mouth. At the end we got the traditional Panacota from the region. Very tasteful and nice to eat with a little with the black salt that has on the plate.
We thought this place looked a bit touristy at first but this is Venice and everything is that way. The food was fresh and well cooked, good drinks and service, delightful views of the canal. Recommend!
Sammy our waiter recommended several dishes which we tried. He did not steer wrong. He was very attentive and friendly. All dishes were superb. Starters of crab n salad as well as mussels and clams were fresh and delectable.
Mains of pasta with scallops and artichokes and tenderloin with veges were cooked to perfection and melted in Ur mouth.
Desert of rosemary panna cotta
was a just end to our meal.
Kudos to the chef and supporting staff for providing us with a most enjoyable evening.
Had a very good seafood dinner here! It is quite pricey but to be expected. I recommend getting a seafood platter as appetizer and a main dish of pasta with seafood as well 👌
This place was excellent. My husband and I went on our first night in Venice. The staff was amazingly hospitable and gave great recommendations. We loved the food and the pace at which we ate. Everyone was friendly. The seafood starter was probably my favorite. Also the panna cotta was one of the best I’ve ever had.
